FOGA Call for Pre-Proposals
======================================================
Call for Proposals
======================================================
Foundations of Genetic Algorithms (FOGA):
The Theory of Genetic and Evolutionary Computation
======================================================
The International Society for Genetic and Evolutionary
Computation (ISGEC) solicits proposals to host FOGA-2002.
Generally, FOGA is held as a focused event, with no
more than 50 to 80 people in attendance.
ISGEC would prefer that FOGA be held either (1) at a time continguous
with GECCO and within reaonable reach of NYC (the site of GECCO 2002)
or (2) in September - December 2002, preferably with the time and
place contiguous with other major GEC events.
Proposals should be brief, including a proposed location,
proposed organizers and proposed dates. Proposals will
be due on June 1 and ISGEC expects to make a final decision
by June 22 so that a Call for Papers can be made at GECCO 2001.
For more information about submitting a proposal, contact
Darrell Whitley (whitley@cs.colostate.edu) before May 15.
