Special Session on Evolutionary Computing
December 20-22 2005, Pune, India

 

The conference will be held in Pune (pronounced as PooNay), INDIA during December 20-22 2005. IICAI is a series of high quality technical events in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 

The previous conference, IICAI-03 received around 700 paper submissions from more than 40 different countries and the acceptance rate was around 20%. Almost all the authors and many other people from several different countries attended that conference. This conference was one of the major AI events in the world and also the biggest AI event that was ever held in India. You may click here for more information about that event.

 

English is the official language of the conference.

 

A Special Session on Evolutionary Computing will be held during the 2nd Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IICAI2005).

 

The session focuses on all areas of Evolutionary Computing and its applications. The topics covered by the session include but certainly not limited to:

 

  • Ant Colony Optimization
  • Artificial Life
  • Evolutionary Algorithms
  • Evolutionary Programming
  • Genetic Algorithms
  • Genetic Programming
  • Neural Networks
  • Particle Swarm Optimization


Paper Submission and Publication:

Authors are encouraged to submit the papers for the session. The papers can be submitted as an email attachment to one of the chairs of the session (addresses given below).

 

The papers should be in WORD or PDF format and should be formatted according to the Springer Lecture Notes instructions. The length of a paper should not exceed 20 pages. Shorter papers and papers on the work currently under progress are also welcome. The first page of the paper should contain the title, name(s) of the authors, affiliations, the postal and email addresses, and at least 3 keywords appropriate to the content of the paper. Further information regarding the paper submission can be obtained from the session chair or access the conference website.

 

Two experts in the topical area review each paper. All Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under the title of the session.

Important Dates:

June 15th 2005 (Wednesday):          Draft papers due.
July 15th 2005 (Friday):                         Notification of acceptance.
August 15th 2005 (Monday):              Camera ready papers & Pre-registration due.
December 20-22 2005:                          Special Session and the IICAI-05 Conference.
